The hospital provides comprehensive critical care services through its well-established Intensive Care Units including ICU, SICU, MICU, and OBST-ICU. These specialised units are designed to deliver advanced monitoring, life-support systems, and multidisciplinary critical care management for patients with severe and life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.
ICUs, SICUs, MICUs and OBST-ICU are all fully equipped with monitors and connected to a central monitor that staff nurses meticulously monitor. In each critical unit there is central oxygen supply, central suction facilities, ECG machine and defibrillator facilities for immediate emergency response and continuous patient monitoring.
For life supporting measures every critical unit is equipped with ventilators, B-PAP machines and infusion pumps. There is ABG machine exclusively for critical care unit. Apart from senior faculties/consultants, senior residents, junior residents, trained nursing staff and cardiac technicians are available round the clock for the care of the patients.
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is dedicated to patients recovering from major surgeries, trauma, and complex surgical procedures requiring close observation and post-operative critical care support. The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) focuses on critically ill medical patients suffering from severe infections, respiratory illnesses, organ failure, metabolic disorders, and other acute medical emergencies.
The Obstetric Intensive Care Unit (OBST-ICU) is specially designed to manage high-risk pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, and critically ill antenatal and postnatal patients requiring specialised maternal critical care.
